Frequently Asked Questions

Habitat for Humanity of Coffee County | Enterprise, Alabama

What is Habitat for Humanity of Coffee County?

Habitat for Humanity of Coffee County (HFHCC) is a local nonprofit Christian housing organization dedicated to helping families in need of safe, decent, and affordable housing. Since 1999, we’ve built homes in partnership with families and volunteers in Coffee County, Alabama. We are part of the global Habitat for Humanity network, sharing the vision that everyone deserves a decent place to live.

How does the homeownership program work?

Families in Coffee County who are living in substandard housing and unable to obtain a traditional mortgage can apply for our program. Homeowners are selected based on:

  • Level of need
  • Willingness to partner (including completing “sweat equity” volunteer hours)
  • Ability to repay a no-interest, affordable mortgage

We don’t give away homes — we empower families to build a better future through hard work, commitment, and community support. HFHCC does not discriminate based on race, religion, or background.

Does Habitat for Humanity of Coffee County have a ReStore?

No, Habitat for Humanity of Coffee County does not currently operate a ReStore. However, we welcome your monetary donations to help fund our home builds and support our mission.

Can I donate materials?

We do not accept material or furniture donations at this time due to the absence of a ReStore. However, financial donations go directly toward purchasing supplies and building homes for families in need — and are always greatly appreciated.

How can I become a volunteer?

We would love to have you join our team of volunteers! No experience is necessary — just a heart to serve. Volunteers help us build homes, assist with administrative tasks, and support our events.
